A Community in Mourning

On the night of 26 July 2026, the community of Naridon (Kizakoro) in Kamaru Ward, Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State experienced a devastating attack that left families grieving, homes destroyed, and livelihoods shattered.

According to reports received by A Sound Arises, many members of the community lost their lives, others were injured, and homes and businesses were destroyed by fire. The attack has left survivors facing profound loss and an uncertain future.

The attack reportedly resulted in the destruction of homes and businesses, including:
